The fruit for this wine was harvested exclusively from our estate vineyard in Napa Valley. This vineyard, north of Napa, is something special. It is bordered on the north by Dry Creek, which has left its legacy by distributing sandy and gravelly soil throughout the vineyard. These soils translate into ideal growing conditions for the fruit, yielding deep, concentrated and intense flavors in the wine. This unique estate vineyard, the Robert Williamson Family Estate, is located in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley.
Meticulously picked and cold soaked for four days prior to fermentation, this wine was aged for 19 months in 80% new French oak with minimal intervention.
Warm raspberry creme-Brule dominate with cardamom, coffee beans and fresh Italian oregano on the nose with a soft entry of black plums and holiday spices followed by an explosion of black fruits finishing with cinnamon, cloves and toasty vanilla.
